Overview

Columbia Secret Valley Golf is an 18-hole championship course near Kouklia in Cyprus. The course follows a scenic valley framed by mature trees, native vegetation and natural rock formations, with views towards the Mediterranean Sea.

The sheltered setting creates a relaxed playing environment, while the varied terrain and six tee positions provide a suitable test for different handicaps. Golfers also have access to extensive practice facilities, PGA tuition, equipment hire and a well-equipped clubhouse.

Course Details

Hans-Georg Erhardt and Snorri Vilhjalmsson of Golf and Land Design designed the course, with Tony Jacklin involved in the project.

Bermuda-grass fairways and bent-grass greens run through the lower section of the valley. Historic rock formations, established vegetation, and elevation changes shape the holes without losing the site’s natural character.

Six tee positions provide several ways to play the course. Golfers select a suitable course length based on their ability, group and preferred level of challenge.

Course Highlights

The valley setting defines the playing experience at Columbia Secret Valley Golf. Fairways pass between mature trees and rock formations, while selected holes provide views towards the Mediterranean.

Course presentation, strategic tee choices and varied natural terrain place a clear focus on shot selection. The six tee positions also help groups with mixed handicaps enjoy the same round from suitable distances.

Four rest stations with vending machines are positioned around the course. A fully stocked Halfway House stands beside the ninth green and 10th tee.

Practice Facilities

Columbia Secret Valley Golf has a 300-metre driving range with two large grass tees, 22 covered bays and two indoor bays.

Three full-size practice greens provide separate areas for putting, pitching and chipping. Two full-size bunkers support sand practice, while a warm-up putting green near the first tee gives golfers space to prepare before their round.

The Golf Academy is based close to the clubhouse. Resident PGA professional Adam Collinson provides lessons for beginners, experienced golfers, juniors and groups. Coaching sessions are tailored to each golfer’s age, ability and aims.

Indoor training options include a golf simulator and swing studios. The Junior Golf Academy provides structured tuition for younger players.

Clubhouse & Facilities

The Columbia Secret Valley clubhouse has a restaurant, visitor changing rooms, conference facilities and two outdoor balconies overlooking the 18th green.

Managed by Columbia Restaurants, the Clubhouse Restaurant serves Mediterranean-influenced dishes and international favourites. Golfers visit for morning coffee, lunch, post-round drinks or an evening meal. The drinks selection includes wines, spirits and other hot and cold beverages.

The Halfway House beside the ninth hole serves light bites, snacks, coffee and cold drinks during the round.

The pro shop stocks golf clothing, equipment and accessories from several established brands. Men’s and women’s rental clubs, manual trolleys, electric trolleys and golf buggies are available to hire.

The clubhouse restaurant also hosts private functions, business meetings and group events.

Location

Columbia Secret Valley Golf is near Kouklia, between Paphos and Limassol. The course sits close to the A6 highway, approximately 18 kilometres east of Paphos and 49 kilometres west of Limassol.

Aphrodite’s Rock is nearby, while Paphos International Airport is around a 10-minute drive from the course.
