Overview

Lighthouse Golf & Spa Resort is a five-star coastal retreat near Balchik on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast. Open throughout the year, the resort combines on-site championship golf, spacious accommodation, extensive spa facilities and several dining venues within a large coastal estate.

Golf

Lighthouse Golf Course lies within the resort. Designed by Ian Woosnam, the 18-hole, par-71 championship layout features Black Sea views and dedicated facilities for golf groups and tournaments.

The golf centre includes a driving range, putting green, chipping area, academy, professional shop and club storage. Lessons, equipment hire and green fees carry an additional charge.

Two further championship courses sit nearby. BlackSeaRama Golf & Villas is five kilometres away, while Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort is six kilometres from Lighthouse. Dedicated golf transfers are available.

Accommodation

The accommodation includes Double Rooms, Club Suites and three penthouse categories.

Golf View and Sea View Double Rooms measure 35 square metres. Each room includes a balcony, sitting area and a choice of one French bed or two single beds. Bathrooms feature a bath and walk-in shower.

Golf View and Sea View Club Suites measure 65 square metres and include a separate living room, balcony and bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower.

The 100-square-metre Penthouse Studio provides an open-plan living space, dining area and spacious coastal-facing terrace.

Penthouse Amaana measures 400 square metres and includes a living room, sitting area, dining space, terrace and private pool. The Presidential Penthouse also measures 400 square metres, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a terrace and private pool.

Dining

Alexandra Main Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the year. Service operates as either a buffet or set menu according to seasonal demand.

Le Passage provides Mediterranean à la carte dining throughout the year. Seasonal choices include the Greek Tavern, Heros Beach Restaurant, Shiv’s Sky Bar and the Infinity Pool Bar.

The 19th Hole Bar & Grill serves pizza and barbecue dishes, with after-golf lunches available during the golf season and dinner service during summer.

Further venues include the Lobby Bar, Spa Bar and Social Club Whiskey Lounge. Premium All-Inclusive guests have access to selected Dine Around experiences, subject to reservation requirements and package terms.

Facilities

The spa includes an indoor mineral-water pool, whirlpool, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, aroma steam bath, Turkish hammam, salt room, adventure showers and relaxation lounge.

Treatment facilities include a couples’ suite, with massages, body treatments, facials and wellness programmes available separately. A fitness centre is also located within the spa area.

The resort has a 1,000-square-metre outdoor lagoon pool and a 200-square-metre indoor mineral-water pool. Selected penthouses feature private seasonal pools.

A private beach area lies approximately five kilometres from the resort. A complimentary shuttle, sun loungers and umbrellas operate during the summer season, subject to availability and weather conditions.

Further leisure facilities include tennis, mini golf, pétanque, bicycle hire, jogging paths and seasonal water sports. Availability and charges depend on the selected board arrangement.
