Pines and Ramblas

Las Ramblas Golf Course

Pepe Gancedo’s Las Ramblas Golf Course winds through rugged ground, Mediterranean pines and natural dry riverbeds.
Wide, fast greens add a further test to this distinctive Costa Blanca round.

Overview

Las Ramblas Golf Course opened in May 1991. Pepe Gancedo designed its route through rugged terrain, Mediterranean pines and natural dry riverbeds known as ramblas. The landscape is central to the character of this Costa Blanca course.

Steep ground and watercourses shape the round, while wide, fast greens add another consideration as golfers approach each hole. Las Ramblas also has practice facilities, a clubhouse and a restaurant, giving visitors the option to prepare before playing and stay for a meal afterwards.

Course Details

Las Ramblas Golf Course is a par-72 layout extending over 5,914 metres. It is not described as a particularly long course. Its challenge comes from the terrain, the trees, the natural watercourses and the demands of its greens.

The greens are broad, fast and gently sloping. Their size gives golfers room to aim for on approach, while their pace matters once a ball reaches the putting surface. The route moves among groves and pines rather than across a flat, open landscape. As a result, the ground itself remains part of the decision on many shots.

Course Highlights

The natural ramblas give Las Ramblas Golf Course its name. These dry riverbeds carry water during the rainy season and form part of the terrain around which Gancedo planned the route. Together with the pine trees and steep ground, they make the setting a defining feature of the round.

Las Ramblas has received GEO Certified recognition for its environmental practices. The certification addresses work relating to nature, resources and community. This recognition adds another aspect to the course’s identity alongside its design and distinctive natural setting.

Practice Facilities

The practice area at Las Ramblas Golf Course includes a driving range for longer shots, a putting green and an approach area. Golfers can use these facilities to prepare for their round or devote a separate visit to practice.

Having areas for different parts of the game gives players a choice in how they spend their time before a tee time. Some will want to warm up on the range. Others will prefer to concentrate on putting or approach shots before heading onto the course.

Clubhouse & Facilities

The clubhouse has terraces overlooking the course, a restaurant and a pro shop. Visitors can have breakfast before playing or return to the terraces after a round. The restaurant menu includes burgers, cuts of meat, fresh fish and Valencian paella.

Las Ramblas Golf Course also provides changing rooms, showers and lockers. Two Porsche electric vehicle chargers are available, with charging times booked through the shop. Personalised training, golf-specific conditioning and physiotherapy services provide further options for visitors.

The restaurant has indoor and outdoor spaces for events, including corporate meetings and weddings. This gives the clubhouse a role beyond the usual meal before or after golf.

Location

Las Ramblas Golf Course is on the Costa Blanca, among Mediterranean pines, natural dry riverbeds and steep terrain. Gancedo’s route follows this landscape, placing the natural surroundings firmly within the playing experience.

The clubhouse terraces overlook the course. The practice areas, pro shop and restaurant are all part of the golf facility, allowing visitors to prepare, play and spend time at the clubhouse during one visit.

Why Play Here

Las Ramblas Golf Course suits golfers who enjoy a round shaped by its natural setting. The pines, ramblas and changes in terrain give the route its character, while the wide, fast greens demand attention on approach and when putting.

There is also space to make more of the visit. You can warm up in the practice area, play the course and return to the clubhouse terrace for a meal. On a Costa Blanca golf holiday, Las Ramblas offers a round distinguished by its rugged landscape.
