La Finca Golf Course

Overview

La Finca Golf Course opened in August 2002. Designed by Pepe Gancedo, this 18-hole, par-72 course sits at the heart of La Finca Resort and offers views across the Vega Baja del Río Segura. Wide fairways and varied greens define its character.

The layout gives golfers room to play from the tee without removing the interest around each green. Practice facilities and a clubhouse close to the course also make it suitable for a full day of golf, with time to warm up before a round and visit the restaurant afterwards.

Course Details

La Finca Golf Course is known for its generous fairways. Golfers who enjoy using their driver have space to do so, while the greens bring variety as the round progresses. Extensive areas of rough connect one hole to the next, offering some margin when a shot leaves the intended line.

The course has an open feel from the tee. Its greens then give players something different to consider as they approach and putt on each hole. This balance makes the layout accessible to golfers with different handicaps while retaining the interest of an established course.

Course Highlights

La Finca Golf Course has hosted amateur and professional tournaments since opening. Its amateur events include the European Junior Championship, the Spanish Junior Championship, and the finals of the Audi Class and Audi Quattro circuits. At professional level, it has hosted EPD Tour events and tournaments on the Valencian Community Professional Circuit.

The views form another part of the round. From the course, golfers can look across the Vega Baja del Río Segura. The setting, the varied greens and the tournament record each give visitors a reason to take an interest in this Pepe Gancedo design.

Practice Facilities

The practice area at La Finca Golf Course has a tee line with capacity for up to 35 players. Its chipping area accommodates up to 24, while the putting green has capacity for 16. A bunker practice green is also available.

These separate areas give golfers space to work on different shots before playing. You can prepare your longer game at the tee line, spend time around the chipping area and finish on the putting green. The golf academy provides a further option for players who want to work on their technique.

Clubhouse & Facilities

The Spanish-style clubhouse is a three-minute walk from the course. Its restaurant offers a varied menu, including healthy dishes. After playing, golfers can take a seat on the outdoor terrace, which covers more than 250 square metres and offers views across the surroundings.

La Finca Golf Course also has a pro shop, changing rooms, luggage storage, a caddy master and a buggy bar. Buggies and handcarts are available, along with golf club hire. These facilities cover the practical parts of a visit, from preparing for a round to spending time at the clubhouse once play has finished.

Location

La Finca Golf Course sits within La Finca Resort. The clubhouse is a short walk away, keeping the restaurant and golf services close to the course. Views across the Vega Baja del Río Segura give golfers a sense of the surrounding region as they play.

The central resort setting also places the practice facilities close to the round itself. Golfers can arrive, prepare to play and return to the clubhouse afterwards while remaining within the resort’s golf facilities.

Why Play Here

La Finca Golf Course offers room from the tee, variety on the greens and a substantial tournament history. Its generous fairways welcome golfers across a range of handicaps, while the changing greens give the round its own character.
