Overview

TorreMirona Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Catalonia’s Alt Empordà region. Set between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, the course combines two contrasting nines with lakes, bunkers, tree-lined fairways and views across the surrounding countryside.

Course Details

Designed by Eugenio Aguado and Jordi Soler, TorreMirona measures 6,245 yards.

The opening nine follows a more technical route across undulating ground. Long, narrow fairways run between trees, while sloping greens place added importance on accuracy and positioning.

The closing nine is wider and flatter, with broader fairways and more generous greens. Lakes, bunkers and changes in elevation continue to influence shot selection throughout the course.

Course Highlights

The par-three fifth is the course’s signature hole. Its island green sits entirely surrounded by water, creating one of TorreMirona’s most distinctive and demanding shots.

The contrast between the two nines gives the round a varied structure. The first places greater emphasis on precision, while the second opens out towards wider views of the Empordà countryside and Pyrenees.

TorreMirona has hosted events including the European School Tour, the International European Seniors and the Spanish Championship for players under 35.

Practice Facilities

Practice facilities include a golf academy, driving range and dedicated practice holes. These areas support pre-round preparation, tuition and focused work across different parts of the game.

Clubhouse & Facilities

The golf reception and professional shop are located beside Hotel TorreMirona Golf & Spa. The shop provides convenient access to golf essentials before a round.

The adjoining resort includes dining, spa and fitness facilities, allowing golfers to combine their round with meals, training or time at Dubhé Spa.

TorreMirona Golf Club is located in Navata, within the Alt Empordà region of Catalonia. The course lies around seven kilometres from Figueres, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean coast.

The beaches and towns of the Costa Brava are accessible from the resort, while the course itself enjoys open views across the surrounding countryside.
